Psychology from Victory University is a Campus Bachelor Personality Psychology degree that prepares you for a Psychology career. The Bachelor of Science degree program in Psychology equips students with a theoretical and practical understanding of human beings from both psychological and Biblical viewpoints. While mastering a challenging program of studies, students gain human relationship knowledge and skills essential to success in a variety of professions and careers. The Psychology curriculum empowers students to engage in research, critically analyze and solve complex problems and clearly communicate research results. In addition, the program will enable students to understand the history and major philosophical systems of psychology as well as to gain extensive knowledge of human functioning: behavioral, cognitive, emotional, developmental, abnormal, social and spiritual. The mission of the Psychology Department at Crichton College is to equip students: 1) To understand and apply theoretical and research data from social and natural sciences; 2) To explore diverse philosophical interpretations of the data, emphasizing critical analysis from a Biblical perspective; 3) To apply psychological principles to life goals such as graduate education; professional development; and personal, relational, familial and spiritual growth. Equipped with this foundation of psychological knowledge, professional human relations skills and problem-solving abilities, Crichton Psychology graduates are employed in entry level careers in mental health and social service agencies, schools, hospitals, businesses and churches. Because optimum advancement in professional psychology requires a Master's or Doctor's degree, the psychology program at Crichton also prepares students for graduate study. Students with undergraduate degrees in Psychology from Crichton have earned graduate degrees from a variety of universities and professional institutes of higher learning nationwide.
