Professional Studies Human Resource Management from University of Connecticut Online is a Online Master Human Resource Management degree that prepares you for a Human Resources career. The College of Continuing Studies is offering a Master of Professional Studies degree with a Human Resource Management concentration (MPS/HRM). This degree is designed to meet the professional development needs of individuals who are currently working in the field of human resource management or who are interested in pursuing a career in human resource management . Interested individuals who do not have human resource management or supervisory experience are strongly encouraged to participate in an internship, which may be taken for course credit. Students in this degree program will develop skills and knowledge in all fields of Human Resource Management including: human resource strategy employment and labor law compensation and benefits labor relations dispute resolution staffing training and development contract negotiation and administration human resource information systems, occupational safety and health managing organizational change. Students may select a career track in either Labor Relations or Personnel or may select a program combining electives from both tracks depending upon their career interests. The MPS requires 36 graduate-level credits that include 30 credit hours of course work and 6 credit hours of a Capstone project towards the end of the program.
