Jurisprudence from University of Baltimore is a Campus Bachelor Law degree that prepares you for a Legal career. While our Bachelor of Arts program is designed as pre-law education that combines philosophy, government, history, literature, communication and other fields in the humanities and social sciences, it is not strictly for those students who plan to continue their educations in law school. A degree in jurisprudence can prepare you for a variety of careers in both the public and private sectors, here in the States and abroad. Many of our alumni have gone on to law schools to earn their J.D.s and become lawyers, but others have gone to graduate school to become public servants, mediators, negotiators, entrepreneurs, managers and business leaders. Still others have launched careers directly out of their undergraduate study, pursuing positions such as: advocate business developer campaign aide city manager congressional aide FBI/CIA agent legal assistant paralegal politician. This major is designed to provide you with a broad knowledge base and encourage you to develop critical reading, effective research, analytical thinking and persuasive writing skills. You'll strengthen and perfect your abilities in oral and written communication, decision-making, problem-solving, leadership, computer literacy and marketing.
