Transylvania offers a 3-2 engineering program in cooperation with the University of Kentucky, Vanderbilt University, and Washington University in St. Louis. Upon completion of the program, you will earn a bachelor of arts degree in physics or liberal studies from Transylvania and a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the other university. The areas of civil, mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering are available in this program. Physics courses emphasize fundamentals and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Many courses include laboratory sessions for hands-on investigation of natural phenomena. Upper-level courses have small numbers of students, and professors are able to offer individual instruction. Graduates of the program have been highly successful and hold positions in academics, government, and industry.
