Students entering the program will be expected to be able to design, implement and verify programs in at least one computer language. The program consists of two parts. In the first part, students take courses that prepare them to take either the CDSP or the CDSA examination. In the second part, students are given in-depth exposure to a given domain and complete their preparation through application of software engineering methodology to a substantial project. The first part will take one year of part-time study. The second part will take an additional 12-to-18 months of part-time study.
