The process involves us making fairly early initial assessments of candidates in order to get to a short list by mid-February each year for the following Fall semester. I encourage you if you are interested in our program, to try to get all materials in, including GMAT scores by late Fall the year prior to your desired entry year and by mid-January at the latest. The learning atmosphere is truly one of cooperation and collaboration. Faculty and doctoral students work together in an apprentice/mentoring relationship which creates a high level of learning and research productivity. Significant attention is also paid to supervised classroom teaching. I believe we offer a very exciting and rigorous training program for those interested in a scholarly career. I can honestly say that being an academic is a wonderful career, one that I enjoy thoroughly.
