The curriculum is designed to involve the learner as an active participant in the essential knowledge, skills, behaviors and attitudes necessary for entry-level occupational therapy practice. The faculty take pride in being accessible to our students in order to assist them in their learning. The concept of the seamless classroom whereby students continue their learning outside the walls of the classroom is a reality in our program. To promote the students' professional development, the students have participated in assessing clients in the community, designing community enhancement projects, and collaborating with faculty, area clinicians, and local agencies to synthesize academic and clinical learning. Students have the opportunity to be involved with the Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) to further enhance professional leadership skills and community service experiences.
