Global and International Affairs from SUNY at Binghamton is a Campus Bachelor International Relations degree that prepares you for a Human Services career. An important feature of today's world is the global, interconnected nature of many of the issues that challenge mankind. Important related themes include diplomacy, democracy, human rights and peace studies. The Political Science Department has developed a concentration in these global issues designed to help prepare students to effectively function in today's rapidly changing international affairs environment. This concentration is open to Political Science majors. To complete the concentration students must take four (4) classes in international relations and four (4) classes in comparative politics. No more than one (1) of the international relations courses may be at the 100-level and at least one (1) must be at the 400-level. Likewise, no more than one (1) of the comparative politics courses may be at the 100-level and at least one (1) must be at the 400-level. Courses on related topics not listed below may be considered for fulfilling the requirements of the Concentration upon consultation with the concentration advisor.
