Students perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul on medium/heavy duty trucks and tractor/trailer vehicles . The Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Program is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed for an entry-level technician position in the trucking industry. Students develop and practice their skills in a well-equipped shop and study challenging areas, such as truck computers, diesel engines, electrical systems, suspension, air-brakes, and power-train. Instruction is also given in related truck area studies such as welding, transport refrigeration, automatic transmissions, and truck body repair.
