Basic Electronics Technician from Southwest Tennessee Community College is a Campus Certificate Electrical Engineering degree that prepares you for a Engineering career. The Basic Electronics Technician Certificate program is designed to provide basic electronic skills for entry-level electronic technicians. These skills include using a variety of test equipment to analyze, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic and computer equipment containing AC/DC circuits, and circuits containing digital and solid state devices. Certificate candidates cannot already hold a degree in Electronic Technology. Candidates must take at least 18 of the minimum 21 hours at Southwest. Each student should assure that he or she has met the prerequisites before attempting to register for a course. The program is designed as a two-semester sequence.
