The Agricultural Production specialization within the Agricultural Systems major is an interdisciplinary program which emphasizes the application of the principles of science and management to agricultural production operations . The Agricultural Production specialization provides instruction in the classroom and laboratory as well as providing opportunities to make use of the many Agricultural Research and Education Laboratories at SIUC. The interdisciplinary nature of the program allows students to utilize the many laboratories and facilities offered by other departments in the College of Agricultural Sciences. These facilities include the 2,000 acre farm system operated by the College.
