The upper level courses ? such as Intermediate Accounting , Advanced Accounting, and Auditing ? focus on developing financial accounting knowledge and skills. Managerial Accounting presents topics in cost accounting and cost management. Finally, elective courses and internships offer opportunities for specialized learning in particular areas of accounting such as government, financial, and tax accounting . What can I do with my SAU accounting degree? The SAU College of Business has a strong record of job placement for graduates in all fields, and accounting majors are no exception. SAU alumni currently work at prestigious firms such as KPMG; Murphy Oil; and Evers, Cox and Gober as well as various local and state government agencies. In addition, all SAU accounting courses count towards the CPA certification requirements.
