There are four areas of career emphasis to choose from: Network Manager, Computer Support Specialist, Applications / Web Programmer. The Network Manager specialization trains students to set up, maintain and manage computer networks. The Computer Support Specialist is trained for technical support and help desk positions. The Programmer specialization provides intensive training in PC programming languages that are predominant in business and industry. The Web Applications Programmer specialization offers training for those programming behind the scenes of a Web site. The CIT program offers flexibility. Students can attend either full-time or part-time. Courses are available day, evening, and online. Online only students can complete the CIT program on a part-time basis. Mission The mission of the Computer Information Technology program is to prepare students for employment and/or advancement in computer support, programming, or network management.
