Our counselor , Bev Bolyard, works in conjunction with the staff, not only here at South Branch, but also with all counselors and principals at each of the five high schools that feed into our center. Students from East Hardy, Moorefield, Pendleton County, Petersburg, and Union Educational Complex are given the advantage of having two counseling services - one at their main high school and one at SBCTC. School-to-career job skill assessment and preparation, portfolio development, job search, test preparation, and post-secondary school application assistance are all part of the counseling experience, as well as job placement. The counseling interaction usually takes place both in the school counseling office as well as the skill training area of the center.
