Advanced Reflective Practice Candidates demonstrate expanded mastery of assessment, programming, pedagogy/teaching practice and management competencies in course requirements and practical application in the field of special education . Critical Thinking/Research Candidates demonstrate expanded mastery of critical thinking and research competencies through completion of a thesis or classroom action research project based on research supported best practices, giving evidence of self-directed intellectual inquiry. Communication Candidates demonstrate expanded mastery of oral and written communication competencies in all course requirements and communications, giving evidence of an aesthetic appreciation of the integration of the liberal arts and the knowledge, skills, and dispositions acquired in the special education graduate course of study. Servant Leadership Candidates demonstrate expanded mastery of professionalism and human relations; home, school, and community relations; and communication and collaboration competencies, giving evidence of self-assessment and reflection, and commitment to Christian values, service and leadership in the world community.
