Job Descriptions: Technicians- often specialize in installation or maintenance/service and repair although they are most often trained in both. Installers - responsible for the proper placement and installation of the equipment, equipment piping and limited electrical installation. Maintenance / service and repair technicians - responsible for the proper maintenance and up-keep of the equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, changing air filters, changing fan belts, checking refrigerant charge, system diagnosis and system repair.
