Welding is used to join beams when constructing buildings, bridges, and other structures, pipes in pipelines, nuclear power plants and refineries. The Applied Welding Technologies Program is an Accredited Testing Facility as defined by the American Welding Society (AWS/ATF). The program's AWS/ATF provides welder certification testing services for both students and industry workers.
