For majors, the courses provide a strong background in the biological sciences for students transferring to fouryear institutions who are interested in careers such as teaching, biological research, or the health sciences. Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution and major in biology or a related field should consult with a counselor regarding the transfer process and lower division requirements. BIOLOGY ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE An Associate of Science degree with a specialization in the Biological Sciences can be earned by completing the following required courses in addition to fulfilling the breadth requirements for the associate degree (minimum 60 semester units.)
