Junior year consists of nine months (three academic quarters) of classroom and student laboratory experience taught by registered vascular technologists (RVT) and vascular surgeons who are highly experienced practitioner-teachers in the field. Senior year is one year of experience (four academic quarters) working with RVTs and other laboratory staff in a clinical setting. Clinical sites include the five university hospitals in Chicago and some community hospital laboratories in the Chicago area.
