Counseling School Counseling from Regent University is a Campus Master Counseling and Personnel Services degree that prepares you for a Education career. The Master of Arts in School Counseling provides the courses necessary for meeting Virginia\\\'s school counselor licensure requirements for employment as a school counselor at the elementary, middle and secondary school levels. Students are able, if they choose, to meet requirements for more than one level of certification (i.e., elementary and middle school counseling). This 60-credit-hour program combines contemporary counseling techniques and theories with a solid Biblical foundation for a spiritual balance in the counseling approach. Those desiring further study will be poised for the pursuit of doctoral degrees including the Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision. The on-campus School Counseling program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) and students have the option of combining it with the Community Counseling track to make themselves more marketable in this changing economy. The combined program is still 60 credit hours. The program also offers students flexibility as you have the option to take courses at a traditional, part-time, or accelerated pace.
