Additionally, our program prepares students for the EPA licensing exam covering refrigeration and air conditioning repair. Associate of Technology , Associate of Science Ranken?s Industrial Technology program provides overall instruction, hands-on training and experience in the practices and skills needed by many facilities, including universities, hospitals, hotels and industrial businesses. The Industrial Technology program offers specialized instruction in the following areas: Basic electricity Introduction to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) Introduction to welding National Electrical Code, motor controls and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Basic pipefitting and plumbing Carpentry maintenance Hydraulics principles & theory Welding (TIG, MIG and SMAW) Machining fundamentals Mechanical systems Students interested in completing the certificate of technology program will take all technical courses in the associate degree program and two general education courses per semester.
