In the B.A. in Screenwriting, you will explore and write: Movie screenplays Television scripts (sitcom, cable and drama) Plays Scripts for interactive and online media The program provides screenwriters: Writing and theory You?ll find a balance of hands-on work in the development of scripts along with the study and theory of storytelling. Further you?ll participate in a workshop setting, providing and receiving feedback from your peers and instructors as well as study classic and contemporary scripts, films, plays and television programs and new media to create a foundational knowledge of story. Collaboration and Integration Students will collaborate with directors, producers, cinematographers, animators and editors in the Cinema Production and Digital Arts programs, providing screenwriting majors an opportunity to see their ideas brought to life on the screen. Further, writers have the opportunity to make films. By directing actors, composing shots, and editing scenes, writers can more fully realize the possibilities of visual storytelling.
