Program Description: This curriculum prepares students to be registered with the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Medical Licensing Board of the State of California as Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), thereby allowing them to be employed in public and private schools, special education sites, community agencies, hospitals and healthcare facilities, and private practices under the supervision of a licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Students will be trained to assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in the assessment and treatment of articulation, language, voice, fluency and other communicative disorders in children and adults.
