CPT coding is used to describe services provided by physicians and is used for services provided by hospital outpatient and ancillary departments, hospital emergency departments and other ambulatory care facilities. Student Learning Outcomes: Students will code and classify and index diagnoses and procedures for the purpose of reimbursement, standardization, retrieval and statistical analysis.
