This program provides students with the scope of the Massage Therapy profession with an understanding of the therapeutic principles that underlie the daily practice. Student Learning Outcomes: Students will demonstrate ethical, legal, and safe behaviors as specified by the American Massage Therapy Association, Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and the State Medical Board of Ohio. Students will perform data collection techniques. Students will distinguish safe, competent, intentional and systematic massage techniques. Students will demonstrate professional interaction with clients. Students will demonstrate appropriate, effective written, oral, and nonverbal communication with clients, their families, colleagues, health care providers, and the public. Students will explain the practice of reading and interpreting professional literature.
