Program Overview The College of Theology facilitates Spirit-led growth and discipleship in students and equips them as ministers and leaders in the Body of Christ. The undergraduate Theology Department offers majors in the following areas: biblical literature, church ministry and leadership and theological-historical studies. Within the church ministry and leadership area, students select one of the following two majors: ministry and leadership or pastoral Christian ministries . The focus of the ministry and leadership major is to equip leaders to fill the offices of teacher, administrator and evangelist in the church through three concentrations of study: Educational Ministries concentration, church administration concentration and evangelism and outreach concentration. In each area of concentration a cognate of hermeneutics, signs and wonders, research seminar, systematic theology and an Old and New Testament elective is required. Educational Ministries Concentration The Christian education concentration prepares students for service within the broad scope of the educational ministries of the church (minister and/or director of Christian education; minister of youth children, singles and other specialized age or interest positions). It emphasizes a strong biblical/theological foundation, integrates principles from the social sciences and provides well-balanced training in the theory and practice of Christian education.
