In order to graduate, the student must pass all of the required courses with a ?C? or better and obtain an overall GPA of 2.0. The summer preceptorship involves eight weeks of in-clinic training under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. The Veterinary Technology program prepares graduates to take the National and Oklahoma State Board Exams for licensure for veterinary technicians . Graduates are qualified to perform any task related to animal health care with the exception of diagnosing, prescribing treatment or performing surgery. The application and selection process for admission to the Veterinary Technology program occurs each summer. Applications deadline is April 30.
