Program Description This program will equip graduates to promote health and wellness through the planning and implementation of nutritional programs and services. The purpose of the program is to prepare students to work as a dietetic technician, registered (DTR) in both health care and commercial food service settings. The program has received Candidacy of Accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE). Graduates of the program will be eligible to take the examination to become registered dietetic technicians. Employment Information Dietetic technicians may work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, correctional facilities, schools, food processing and manufacturing concerns and restaurants.
