Area business leaders meet regularly with BMT instructors to discuss the training and skills employees need to be successful. Core BMT courses such as introduction to management, economics, accounting and data processing take a management approach to the functional areas of business. By pairing these classes with courses in other areas, including communication, freshman composition and psychology, you will build a sound foundation for learning. You may then select more specialized courses in supervision, personnel, marketing, advertising, government and business, finance, managerial planning, sales, retailing, labor and management, purchasing and small business operations. Exciting total quality management applications and tools have been added throughout the curriculum. Courses emphasize skills and problem solving, using projects and team concepts to better prepare employees for a dynamic workforce. These quality specialization courses focus on developing leaders who can serve as resource people, collect and analyze data, develop and oversee projects, deliver presentations and envision the next steps in the process. The BMT courses are offered during the daytime and in the evening to accommodate students\\\' work schedules and other responsibilities. BMT graduates often continue their education, typically on the Lancaster Campus, and earn a baccalaureate degree in general business or specialized studies. Both of these bachelor\\\'s degrees may be completed at OUL. Graduates also relocate to the Athens Campus, where they earn baccalaureate degrees in business, marketing and finance.
