Overview The part-time MSW option at Ohio State Lima provides the opportunity to enroll in The Ohio State University\\\'s nationally recognized and fully accredited MSW program with the convenience of being close to home. Through a cooperative agreement between the OSU College of Social Work and Ohio State Lima, students are able to complete the Master of Social Work degree requirements. Ohio State Lima students receive the same quality educational experience as their Columbus campus counterparts. Classes are taught by OSU College of Social Work faculty and community practitioners. The same course of study, syllabi, and texts are used on all campuses. Program Components The OSU College of Social Work\\\'s MSW program provides an educational experience that responds to the need for greater competency in diverse practice arenas. Students acquire knowledge and skills in foundation areas of social work focusing on research, welfare policies and programs, human behavior and the social environment, and human diversity, as well as advanced skills in clinical or social administration practice. Two field practicums are scheduled along with the classroom courses during specified quarters of enrollment. Field practicum assignments close to the student\\\'s home community may be made at social service agencies that meet the educational requirements to be certified as a qualified practicum site.
