Given the high number of professionally educated social workers practicing in social service settings throughout the central Ohio area, we are able to require that all field instructors have attained the Master of Social Work degree. The Social Work Program?s accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) enables our graduates to apply to accelerated graduate programs leading to the Master of Social Work degree . CAREER POSSIBILITIES The ODU Social Work Program prepares student for entry-level professional practice at the baccalaureate degree level. The social work curriculum is designed to provide students with foundation knowledge, skills and values needed to work across a range of settings and with varied client populations and problems. Our graduates are eligible to apply to be licensed social workers in the state of Ohio and in other states that license baccalaureate-level social workers. ON CAMPUS OPPORTUNITIES Social work majors are encouraged to organize and advocate for their shared interest through the Social Work Action Task Force.
