The Electrical program also provides several 16-hour continuing education and exam preparation courses to meet the needs of the States? Re-licensing requirements. Continuing education and electrician technician education is offered in an open-entry, open-exit, competency-based format. In the Electrical Trades Preparation students learn about construction and maintenance environments, bending conduit, running wire, installing electrical devices, servicing, and distributing equipment in compliance with the National Electrical Code for an entry-level job in the electrical field. Training can be directly applied as credit towards completion of the state?s Electrical Apprenticeship schooling.The approximate completion time for the Electrician Certificate is 900 hours or 7.5 months at 30 hours per week and maintaining 100% progress.
