It is a full-time, intensive program on the beautiful Fort Lauderdale-Davie campus. Our two and 1/2 year MOT program is uniquely designed so a student may enter after 90 semester hours of undergraduate work of which 30 credit hours must be upper division, that is, junior level or above. Highly qualified students may enter as Freshman at NSU in the Dual Admit program. The MOT program at NSU is dedicated to preparing occupational therapists to serve as part of an interdisciplinary team of health professionals in a variety of practice settings, including hospitals, schools, outpatient, and home health. We also prepare graduates to develop programs in settings where occupational therapists are not yet employed. The program builds upon a strong undergraduate preparation, continuing to teach students to think critically and solve challenges effectively.
