The RN to MSN option is designed to meet the educational needs of the registered nurse who wants to accelerate the process in obtaining a B.S.N. and a M.S.N. Registered nurses may complete the first three terms through our online track or through the combination onsite and an online track offered at the Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami Kendall and Orlando campuses. Registered nurses receive 64 prior learning credits for their licensure. Upon evaluation of transcripts, additional transfer semester hour credits for general education courses completed at a college or university may be awarded. Completion of all general education courses is a requirement prior to beginning the M.S. N. courses. Students will transition to the M.S.N. courses after meeting the requirements for the M.S. N. program. There are three unique tracks to earning the MSN. Our MSN tracks in education, public/community health nursing, and health systems leadership offer in-depth education by faculty experts in these fields. MSN nursing education for those nurses wishing to enhance their ability to transition to an academic or staff development position. MSN public/community health nursing for nurses wishing to improve the health of communities and/or advance their careers in public health.
