The Drafting and Design Technology curriculum is designed to provide specialized occupational instruction in all phases of drafting technology . Classroom instruction and laboratory experience combine to provide the student with the hands-on skill needed to produce technical drawings for use in manufacturing and construction. The student will be qualified for employment in such fields as industrial facilities planning, quality control, machine design , building construction, architectural design, mapping and others. The student may choose the general drafting option or the architectural drafting concentration. Each option includes extensive training in the use of the computer-aided-drafting (CAD) system.
