Theatre Arts Acting from North Carolina A & T State University is a Campus Bachelor Acting degree that prepares you for a Art and Design career. The Theatre Arts Program offers a Concentration in Acting . The Acting Curriculum is an extensive program which includes multiple courses in Beginning Acting , Intermediate Acting, and Advanced Acting; as well as, courses in Acting Styles, Singing for the Actor, and Acting for the Camera. In these courses, students study character development, text analysis, audition preparation, and classical acting . Acting students also study a year of Voice and Movement. All theatre students take courses in Play Production, Stage Craft, Theatre History, African-American Drama, Make-up, Directing, Children\\\'s Theatre, and Management. Students have the opportunity for practical application of their newly acquired skills and knowledge in The Paul Robeson Theatre and Studio 321G which serve as the program\\\'s laboratory venues. Students have several performance opportunities thoughout the year. Four Paul Robeson Theatre Main Stage productions, Faculty Studio Productions, Student directed one-act studio works, and Cabaret Ensemble. While we take pride that our program is a small one which offers individual attention, we also take pride in our competitive admissions policy and high standards. First year students must complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts Audition before continuing on to the second year, and all students are required to participate in an annual Juried Evaluation.
