The study of German at Nazareth College is not simply about conjugating verbs or sitting in language labs. It is an immersive experience in the culture, literature , art, and people of Germany. The study of 20th century German literature, modern German drama, study abroad, and of course, learning the language are just a few of the ways we visit Germany from all perspectives. The German Cultural Center is home to our language students. Here they can watch German satellite TV, read current German-language magazines, study for exams, hold group discussions, and attend events. All students majoring in German, and most who minor, study abroad at the College\\\'s Berlin Residential Program, which is part of the College Consortium for International Studies, Washington, D.C. Students also enjoy local internships with businesses that are either German-owned or have international ties. Program Highlights One or two semesters of study in Berlin or at a German University and/or the Goethe Institute. Visits to the German Cultural Center to learn more about German speaking cultures. Biennial group study tours to Europe for college credit. Internship programs at Rochester corporations to develop international business skills.
