The 50,000 square-foot Automotive Technology Building provides additional opportunities for students to develop their skills in other automotive repair and service areas. Students receive practical laboratory experience in diagnosis of electrical/electronic problems, welding, brakes, steering, suspensions, air conditioning, and engines. The Autobody Technology Buildingset up like a real-world autobody shop, houses a large modern-day lab and classroom dedicated to auto body repair , refinishing and estimating. The building contains the most sophisticated equipment in the autobody industry, including superior air purification equipment, a laser measuring device capable of determining frame damage, a top-of-the-line alignment machine, and a Garmat paint booth, an environmentally friendly, superior down-draft paint spray booth that can dry a coat of paint in half the normal time.
