The Biology Department has access to classrooms with modern instructional technology. Its teaching and research laboratories are equipped for conducting experiments in molecular cloning, DNA amplification, DNA sequencing, microarray technology, global positioning systems (GPS), geographic information systems (GIS), and radio-telemetry technology. In addition, the Biology Department has a 180-acre campus natural area called the Otoe Creek Nature Area.
