Each year professional nail technicians perform more than $3 billion worth of manicuring, pedicure, and artificial nail services for millions of fashion-conscious clients. Students in the 240-hour Nails Specialty program will learn the step-by-step procedures for manicuring, pedicure, tips, wraps, acrylic nails and basic nail art procedures as well as to identify the chemicals commonly used in the nail salon, how they can cause harm, how to protect themselves and their clients, and how to read MSDS (material safety data sheet). Suggested number of hours 240 @ $2.15 per hour plus materials. Students will learn customer service skills such as client consultations, retail sales, client follow-ups, manicuring, and esthetics. This program provides theory and skills in: Acrylic and gel with tips, caps and nail forms Anatomy of skin and nails.
