All students at Merrimack College are required to pass either: A.Two 2-credit courses: ?Introduction to Theology? (RTS1000) plus one introductory religious studies course at the 1500 level or B. ?Introduction to Religious and Theological Studies? (RTS 1001?4 credits) Students are also required to pass at least one additional course in the Department before graduation. Note that the introductory courses are a prerequisite for all other courses in the department. The introductory courses are given numbers at the 1000 level because they are the most basic in our department and are appropriate for first year students. All other courses are given numbers in the 2000, 3000, and 4000 range. These numbers are intended to indicate the progressively more difficult nature of the courses.
