MCLA's Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Educational Leadership is a post-master's level certificate for professionals interested in a career as principal, superintendent, administrator of special education, or other leadership roles in education. CAGS candidates develop managerial skills related to the fiscal, political, personnel, and demographic challenges they may encounter as educational leaders. They expand their knowledge so that they can effectively and efficiently solve problems in the educational system, and they enhance their ability to be a positive, productive leader of an educational enterprise. The program is designed for both full-time and part-time study, and is structured to meet the needs of working professionals, as well as to prepare the qualified full-time student for a leadership position. A minimum of 33 approved graduate credit hours are required for the completion of CAGS.
