Film And Television Make-Up Artistry from Make - up Designory is a Campus Certificate Make-Up degree that prepares you for a Vocational Programs career. This program combines Beauty 101, Special Make-Up Effects 201 and Special Make-Up Effects 301, to give students a foundation in the essential skills and techniques that are consistent with the criteria required for membership in the major make-up artist unions. This program also provides students with the technical skills required to work as a technician in a special make-up effects lab. Techniques are first demonstrated through live, interactive presentations. Students are then asked to practice under the guidance of the course instructor. This program is reviewed semiannually by our Program Advisory Committee, to ensure that the techniques and materials being covered are representative of the industry. Fields requiring make-up artists with this type of training include, but are not limited to: entertainment, theatrical, retail, bridal, special effects, society, salon/spa, fashion, and special events.
