Topics of study will include medical, legal, multivoice, and technical terminology, transcript production, judicial reporting and captioning procedures, and computer-aided transcription systems. Students will be prepared to meet the minimum requirements for court reporting for county, state or federal courts, self-employment as a freelance reporter , broadcast captioner for local or national captioning companies, or CART reporting for the hearing-impaired.
