The Health Informatics and Information Administration (HIIM) program requires twelve quarters of study on-campus or online plus one quarter off-campus at professional practice sites. The Health Informatics and Information Administration (HIIM) program received the Louisiana State Board of Regents' Commendation of Excellence, the highest recognition awarded to an academic program by this group. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) in cooperation with the Council on Accreditation of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to write the registration examiniation of the American Health Information Management Association.
