Students learn prescription receipt and screening for completeness and accuracy, medication preparation in sterile and non-sterile environments, supply distribution, purchasing pharmaceuticals, inventory control methods, insurance billing and payment collection, pharmacy calculations, federal and state regulations, pharmacy equipment and maintenance, pharmacy ethics and effective communication. The goal of the institute is to prepare te student for licensing with the California State Board of Pharmacy.
