After you complete the degree requirements (131 credits) and successfully pass all certification tests (LAST, ATS-W and CSTs), you will be awarded Initial Teaching Certification by the New York State Department of Education to teach biology to grades 7 to 12. The Bachelor of Science in Adolescence Education: Biology is a joint program between C.W. Post?s School of Education and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
