An exciting career awaits students in the field of court reporting which is currently an in-demand, high-paying career. Court reporters (including deposition reporters and broadcast captioners) earn an average of more than $60,000 per year. Graduates of the program will join over 40,000 court reporters nationwide who apply their special skills in this vital field. The course of study includes basic shorthand theory, punctuation and grammar for court reporting , transcription, speed development, computerized transcription, legal and medical terminology, courtroom procedures, and an internship.
