Practical Nursing from Lebanon Technology and Career Center is a Campus Certificate Nursing Practice degree that prepares you for a Nursing career. Program Description The Practical Nursing Program is a 12-month course of study and clinical experience designed to facilitate the student in acquiring attitudes, skills, and knowledge essential to the role of a competent practical nurse. It is a full-time day program, meeting four days a week.. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates receive a certificate that qualifies him/her to apply to take the national licensure exam for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN). According to the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, section 335.066, graduation does not ensure the applicant eligibility for licensure in Missouri. This section of the law will be made available to each applicant as part of the application form process. Philosophy The LTCC Practical Nursing Program accepts the philosophy and goals of the Lebanon RIII School District supporting the concept of quality career-technical education. Our related mission is to serve the area with a strong program providing learning experiences directed toward the growth of the individual in personal, career, and community life. It is this integration that will prepare the practical nurse by incorporating concepts from physical and behavioral sciences, humanities, and the discipline of the nursing process. Our faculty is committed to mentoring students in order to guide them in successful completion of the program and licensure preparation through lecture, lab, hands-on practicum and service to the community.
