Brief Description of Department and Program: The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences is located in The Agriculture Complex and encompasses Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Nutrition/Dietetics and Family and Consumer Sciences Education. A general nutrition/foods laboratory with equipment for a variety of simple demonstrations, experiments, and practical use is available. The Department has a state-of-the-art Computer-Aided Learning Center for instructional use as well as individual and group auto-tutorials. A newly renovated Early Childhood Laboratory is used for developing skills in working with children and their families.
